The fair starts at 10 am both days and stretches over 2 locations along the seafront which are 5 minutes apart from each other.

The Big Bexhill Charleston Dance Challenge takes place on the De La Warr terrace. Free Entry from 11.15am with a free £50 cash draw for everyone participating. Dress code vintage, or comfortable. It is for everyone to join in.

SaturdayThe Charleston Party gets underway from 1.30pm at the marquee on the Metropole Lawns beside The De La Warr Pavilion. There’s a complimentary drink on arrival to get this party started! Come and dance to the sounds of The Roaring Twenties Swing Band, Mojo Calling, Rebecca Mason and Dance Moves.

The Savoy kicks Charleston dance troupe will be on stage taking you through the dance moves for the Charleston Dance Competition which follows with cash prizes for the winning contestants in 1st & 2nd place.There are prizes for the Best Dressed Lady, the Best Dressed Gent and the Best Dressed under 16.

The Vintage Swing Night takes place in the marquee from 7.00pm to 10.30pm with the Memphis Flyers, The Rockin’ Ambassadors and vintage DJ Gypsy John. A bar and food will be available. Tickets £10 on the door or £7 from our Party and Competition Tickets page.

Various entertainment on the De La Warr Terrace throughout both days.

SundayJazz Breakfast  from 10.00 till 12.00 including coffee and pastry, listening to Helen Sharpe and the Bluesettes in the marquee on the Metropole Lawns. Tickets £8 on the day or £6.50 in advance from our Party and Competition Tickets page.

The Peaky Blinders Retro Party starts at 1.30pm with a complimentary drink on arrival to get things going! Introducing ’The Peaky Blinder’ 40’s singer Pete Wayre with his great repertoire of all of the old classic songs associated with the ‘Gatsby’ era.

The Swing Street Band will keep the jazzy swing music flowing with their distinctive sound.Best dressed Peaky Blinder, Guys and Dolls, Bonnie and Clyde and  best dressed under 16 win cash prizes.

The 99 bus runs from opposite the parking field Ravenside to Devonshire Road
Saturday at 20 minutes and 40 minutes past the hour.
