This family weekend event celebrates the Swing Eras 1920s-1950s and is held on Bexhill seafront between The De La Warr Pavilion and The Bexhill Sailing Club.
Friday night is The Great Gatsby Ball dancing to The Sleepy Lagoon Orchestra. It will be held in the huge gala marquee on the lawns next to The De La Warr Pavilion from 7-10.30pm. Dress to impress for this one.
On Saturday we create the biggest Charleston Dance on the south coast, free for everyone to join in. Feel free to dress as comfortably as you like or in period clothing.
Throughout Saturday and Sunday dance to the jazz and swing bands watch dance displays and enter the Best Dressed Competitions with the Charleston theme on Saturday and The Peaky Blinders theme on Sunday with cash prizes!
The Swinging Detective will host a tea dance on Saturday afternoon and in the evening from 7.00pm -10.30pm, it is the very popular Vintage Swing Night and this year we bring you the best entertainment with Dylan Kirk and the Killers.
A festival atmosphere will be conjured up by Morris dancers, stilt walkers, ukulele bands, and trade stands.
This year we welcome back Pop Up Vintage Fairs London who will be set up outside the Bexhill Sailing Club. They will be bringing some of their finest traders in vintage clothing and all authentic, wonderful things from bygone eras.
